This is the general FAQ for ReadyM: the platform, the launcher, and the games running on it. Looking for deep dives? See the pinned OblivionMP FAQ in OB:MP Discussion and the pinned WukongMP FAQ in WukongMP Discussion.
ReadyM, SDK and the Launcher
What is ReadyM?
ReadyM is a platform that turns beloved single-player games into community-driven multiplayer sandboxes. We bring the kind of creative multiplayer freedom you see in big UGC platforms to established games players already love, with the networking infrastructure, creator tools, and community features that let players move across different games and build worlds in whatever titles resonate with them. Founded by veteran modders with two decades of grassroots multiplayer modding experience and supported by seasoned professionals of AAA industry who understand the shift that’s currently taking place in gaming culture. WukongMP was ReadyM’s first game integration. OblivionMP, our multiplayer mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, is the next, and it is currently entering alpha stage. More titles will follow.
Who is building ReadyM?
ReadyM is built by a team of veteran game developers and modders. Our founders are @Msk and @julkiewiczjulkiewiczjulkiewiczjulkiewicz. Between us we have spent more than twenty years in game development, moving from Unity to Unreal, and in grassroots modding, including co-creating GT-MP, one of the first multiplayer platforms for GTA V. We have also run large community game servers for years on FiveM, altV, and similar projects. OblivionMP and the wider ReadyM platform are built on that experience.
Is ReadyM free to use?
Yes. Core multiplayer access is free, because we want community multiplayer to be accessible to everyone. ReadyM is building the platform infrastructure that empowers communities to create, not charging players for access. Over time we will introduce optional supporter features that help server owners and creators sustain their communities, but core multiplayer access stays free.
Where can I download the ReadyM Launcher?
Download the ReadyM Launcher from our official player portal: https://portal.ready.mp. We distribute only through official ReadyM channels to protect players from fake versions, unsafe downloads, and scams. You will always find official download links on www.ready.mp, in our video descriptions, and on our official social media pages. ReadyM is free. We are not selling access. If you see someone selling “WukongMP access,” “qualification,” or “ReadyM premium,” it is a scam.
Is the ReadyM Launcher safe to download and use?
Yes, as long as you download the ReadyM Launcher only from https://portal.ready.mp. We strongly recommend avoiding third-party websites, since unofficial downloads may contain unsafe or modified files.
How do I know that ReadyM platform isn’t experiencing issues?
The ReadyM Platform Status Page can be found here.
How does ReadyM actually work?
Think of ReadyM’s relation to supported single-player games the way FiveM relates to GTA V. FiveM is not a mod, it is the infrastructure layer that lets thousands of custom servers exist. ReadyM does the same thing, but for any game rather than one. In practice it is three layers. First, a launcher: players download one launcher and it handles installation, resource sync, joining servers, and keeping your client compatible with whatever server you are on, with no manual patching. Second, the networking and server layer: the netcode, server code, synchronization, hosting, and master infrastructure that make players actually move together in the same world, running quietly under the hood. Third, a cross-game SDK: the scripting standard server owners use to build custom game modes, plus standardized server discovery, player identity, resource sync, and update resilience, so owners do not rebuild these from scratch for every game. OblivionMP is ReadyM’s integration into Oblivion Remastered, the game-specific layer built on top of the platform. You play OblivionMP; ReadyM is what makes it run.
What is the ReadyM Creative SDK?
The Creative SDK is a full scripting environment that gives server owners programmatic control over the game, both client-side and server-side. If you have built servers on FiveM or made games in Roblox Studio, the model will feel familiar: you control the rules, the world state, and the player experience. The SDK is cross-game and portable, so the skills and patterns you learn on OblivionMP carry over to other ReadyM-supported titles.
Do I need technical skills to play or to run a server?
To play, no: download the launcher, own the legitimate copy of the game, and connect to a server. To run a basic server, minimal technical knowledge, similar to running a Minecraft or Valheim server. To build custom game modes with the SDK, scripting experience helps, similar to Lua scripting on FiveM or scripting in Roblox.
Will my skills and communities transfer to other ReadyM games?
That is the core idea of ReadyM as a platform. Skills you learn and the audience you gather creating for one game can carry over to other ReadyM-supported games. Server communities you build can run companion experiences across multiple titles. Creators developing custom game modes will have tools and audiences that reach beyond a single game. This cross-game flow is what turns ReadyM from a single-game mod into infrastructure for community multiplayer.
What is next for ReadyM? Are you planning multiplayer for other games?
Yes. ReadyM is not a mod for one game. We are building universal multiplayer infrastructure that works across titles. WukongMP was the first showcase and proof the approach works, and OblivionMP is the second, now in pre-alpha. From there we are expanding to more games where communities have wanted multiplayer but lacked the infrastructure to build it. Every game is different, but the core challenges of networking, synchronization, server reliability, and community operations are ones we have worked on for two decades. Players will move across experiences, discovering communities and building worlds in whatever games resonate with them.
OblivionMP (alpha)
What is OblivionMP?
OblivionMP is ReadyM’s multiplayer mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. It turns Cyrodiil into a shared multiplayer sandbox where you and other players exist together in real time: play together, run community servers, and build entirely new multiplayer experiences on top of one of the most loved RPGs ever made. It runs on the same ReadyM infrastructure behind WukongMP and it is an open sandbox by design, with no main storyline to follow. What happens in Cyrodiil is shaped by the players and the communities on each server.
OblivionMP is in pre-alpha. How do I get access?
Access is limited right now while we test the core multiplayer systems with a small group, so in the ReadyM Launcher the Oblivion tile is locked for most accounts. Players: join our Discord at OB:MP (ReadyM) and follow our channels, where we share how access opens up. Server owners and community builders: sign up for early access at https://oblivionmp.firstlook.gg, where we are shortlisting the first wave of builders.
Do I need to own Oblivion Remastered, and which version do I need?
Yes, a legal copy of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on PC, and right now that means the Steam version. The Game Pass, Microsoft Store, and Epic Games Store builds are not supported, because the script extender OblivionMP depends on (OBSE64) does not work with those versions. Beyond owning the game and downloading the ReadyM Launcher, OblivionMP is free to play.

WukongMP
What is WukongMP?
WukongMP is ReadyM’s multiplayer mod for Black Myth: Wukong. It supports shared PvP sessions, player synchronization, cooperative fights, and multiplayer features that expand over time. You access WukongMP through the ReadyM Launcher.
What do I need to play WukongMP?
A legal copy of Black Myth: Wukong. Right now the most stable and fully supported versions are Steam, HeyBox, and Epic Games Store. Download the ReadyM Launcher from https://portal.ready.mp and it guides you through setting up WukongMP automatically.
